I’m re-posting this as I think I’ve lost a few people I was following of late, but, my list being a certain length and my marbles tending to rattle in the tin… I’m not sure exactly who. It is explained at the link below, and yes, I did forget to make the list.
The Case of the Disappearing Follower, or, the Thot Plickens
- Sonmi making lists upon the Cloud
WordPress does truly curious things that make no sense whatsoever. Mysterious blue boxes that appear and really have no function and then disappear into the cyber mist. Myst? Khyber Mhist? I don’t know and WP keeps me at arm’s length. Maybe on account of I hurl invective at the WP toadies but, they’re annoying and aloof and haughty and arrogant and I think oh fuck that, I pay for the site so what in hell is their problem?

When the zombie apocalypse occurs (or any other for that matter), I’m in your camp.
Blog hosting sites seem to have glitches like this that last forever and a day. The problem is, some people, bless their hearts, will be quite devastated that they’ve lost a follower, when they didn’t actually. Of course they need to get a grip. People come and go, but it’s irritating as sometimes I cannot remember the name of the blog. I remember the blogger’s personality and name, but if they haven’t commented on my blog at any point I’ll not be able to find them. Of course if they aren’t commenting on my blog they can jolly well sod off.

Happens all the time does it not? I have too many faves to make list, so if people don’t appear on my reader, my cloud or wash upon roughseas shores, I finally look them up.

Me too. Most of those I follow are favourites, or I wouldn’t be bothering. I ‘try out’ blogs, if they fit, I keep them. If not, I leave. these days I’m noticing that there’s an outer ring of connectedness, so I’ll come across blogs which have an article I like and see that several people I follow are already there. That helps.

I tend to use the WP reader and do try and get to bloggers who are kind enough to stop by and witness my writhing brain area. Of course my poking a digital finger into the wounds of personal beliefs and politics and war–all without the use of socially acceptable grammar–and coupled with my deep seated knowledge that I am always right…well, what I lose in readership I gain back in that above mentioned deep seated knowledge.
Sure I’m an only child!

You’re the life and soul of the party, what’s wrong with them?!! Hahahaha.
I’ve noticed that some people don’t always show up in the reader, I have to hunt them down. I tend to bob over to the list of those I follow and click through all of them every month or so. That’s when I ‘weed out’ the blogs that aren’t actually my bag after all. You’re still on the list, you must be doing something right. laughs some more.
