I loved this man to bits. An incredible actor and also a very witty, sharp, yet kind guy.
A good few tears from esme at his passing, which is just as it should be.
The man.
His films.

Aye, a sad loss indeed Professor. Lovely smile on him John had, and such expressive eyes.

It really was, and interestingly balanced by his role in V for Vendetta I’d say.

The Elephant Man. Love the scene with Barber’s adagio.

That piece of music alone always fills me with emotion — married with the final scene it’s quite a killer tears-wise, a true heart-wrencher, and though I had decided not to watch anything John had starred in for a whie, until the sadness sits down with me, rather than stands as it does now, I watched the scene. Marvellous. Gets me every time and this time is no different.
