I wish people would love to hear my voice as much as my cats seem to be excited to hear me speak when I awake in the morning. That seems to be the cue to jump up, run around, meow, and head butt me as much as possible. Hugs

You have one of the most soothing voices I’ve ever heard Scottie, if you orated some audio books I’m sure you’d be quite a hit! I’m laughing at your cats antics here.

Sadly, it came across as you asking what the title meant, as I had already called the post ‘Her Mistress’s Voice’

Oh shit, I never noticed. Well, n’er mind, you can’t expect me to read every bloody thing you write on the page. I’ve got important things to do you know young lady! Anyway, it proves we’re on the same wavelength, frequency-wise, even if there’s a bit of latency in my reception. [Mad face]

Perish the thought anyone would have to go to the trouble of actually reading the title as well as looking at the pictures! Hahahahaha. I’ll concede to your conclusion though, yes, we both immediately had the same thought. – cross-eyed gurning face back ❤

It gets worse as you get older, MM, believe me. I first began noticing it almost a decade ago when I turned 85, and it’s . . . what were we talking about . . . ?

Jovially joining the jolly jape — variations on a theme of Nipper — here is one by Banksy:

Michael: Hey, Torgo, where’s the phone? Yes, Alexander Graham Bell, you know, telephone?
Torgo: There is no phone here, sir. The Master does not approve of such devices.
Margaret: Then… then where is the nearest phone?
Torgo: The nearest phone is at the crossroads. That’s ten miles.
Margaret: Ten miles? Might as well be ten THOUSAND miles!
Michael: [getting mad] Easy, honey! It won’t help to get mad!

Hello Bill, Banksy eh? I counter his offering with this one, as it makes me laugh;
Here’s the only apparent photograph of Nipper, what a sweetheart he looks too.
Could have been a raving beast at the weekends mind you, so would fit right into that horror film!

Fear not Bill, you’re in the right place for streams of consciousness that jump any such hurdles as logic. That’s very much why The Cloud is such a comfortable place to be I reckon. beams at him laughing

Bill, who did Alexander Graham Bell call when he invented the phone?

Hello Hariod, I’m thinking Tom Watson and I’m thinking John Watson and I’m thinking the impossible IBM Watson, and I’m thinking ‘no one’ because he invented the phone before calling, but I shall go with “a talk-show host” on the basis of this meme: https://s3.amazonaws.com/lowres.cartoonstock.com/telecommunications-alexander_graham_bell-invents-invented-inventors-inventions-ggm070725_low.jpg
However, I am also most happy to stand corrected. Yes and indeed 🙂

Both works for me Ben – beams. I think of photographs as collecting memories and have taken a few billion of them in my time, for the purpose of a line in time. I’m glad to have sent some fond ones your way.

The RCA Victor logo is exactly what I thought of first Esme! And then it reminded me of one particular scene in one of my all-time favorite films, Out of Africa. Denys (Redford) has the phonograph out with the monkeys and tells Karen…

I remember that logo – Most of my parents’ record collection was of that brand (I’m referring to the late 50s, early 60s.
BTW apart from the ears, Rosie could be a ring in for the HMV terrier.

Yes itis so nostalgia filled isn’t it? I have many records for the gramaphone, it’s a unique sound that appears. Rosie is a bit bigger than Nipper, but I can see what you mean as she does have a very similar look to him in the photo.
