Corny stuff, Forest of sunflowers pon Cloud, Grub up, Jolly green giant, Mayo and sea salt, Tommy Toes, Yum
There’s little as wondrous as the taste of your homegrown corn on the cob folks.
And yes, it’s Willow Pattern, and yes the Fennel has grown so large it’s turned pirate and is trying to wrestle with the sunflowers, and yes . . . very tall sunflowers, just over eight-foot this year – looks very pleased and awaits the ‘corny’ puns’.
And above is the first ‘Bumble-bee’ Tomato of the crop. No, it is not black and yellow Mr Pink, I am aware of that, and the blue and white crockery is a Teapot from the 1950’s – J & G Meakin – ‘Blue Nordic’ pattern and it does not match the plate – esme laughing covering as many bases in advance as possible sat with the Jolly Green Giant upon the Cloud.

I usually present my fruit on melmac or a specimen cup. This was superb! Totally first class.

I love blue and white china; which is odd as it reminds me of my childhood, and I didn’t love my childhood – except for things like the blue and white china at my grandmother’s house. She used blue crackle-glass glasses with it. Always on ancient white cutwork tablecloths. I used to stick my fingers in the cutwork to stretch it, somewhat instinctively. Always testing limits.

Lovely comment Mr Pink, nostalgia is an eccentric creature at times. I’m glad you still like it, I collect old broken bits of pottery whenever I see a piece on some land that was once an aged tip. Even broken they can be very beautiful.

I should send you a photo of our kitchen. Living in an old plantation house where people used to dig holes and bury their trash, the land constantly coughs up bits of old pottery. And then there’s the shoreline and the current that flows from Japan. Not so good for Fukushima fallout, but good for broken bits of Japanese pottery. And so. ❤

Good. Well, as you know very well then, lycopene consists entirely of carbon and hydrogen, so is in fact a carotene. So regarding your tommy toes, then you have ten carotenes on your plates!

I used to hold onto my mother’s sets of old dishes. Now my eldest, who appreciates such things, possesses some of them. But now I actually strive for things NOT to match. Because, you know, breakage. Plus creativity demands it. xoxoxoxo

Yes, that’s just it, I have got a couple of tea sets, but they aren’t full and the teapots don’t match, though one particular teapot would look quite something with cups of the same ilk, I shall post it next, it’s like something out of Alice in Wonderland I always think but isn’t themed in that way, just quirky. ❤
