I was pointed in the direction of this chap’s work this afternoon. He makes some quite incredible creations and many of them are articulated too. And as if that wasn’t enough…his name is Igor! Igor Verniy in fact. Here is his Facebook Page, which seems to be the main site he posts his works on – Igor Verniy Facebook Page – Though he also has an Etsy shop where he sells his beautiful creatures.
I like the bat best.
And Bender.
And all the rest too.

It is isn’t it? Cyber/steam, I’m always drawn to that kind of thing, machinery within. We all have cogs whirring away, they’re just soft gloopy ones.

Well thank you kindly good sir, I think there’s a great deal to be said for the joy of the abstract. Esme and Igor speak with fork in tongue sometimes, possibly all the time! ❤

I’m imagining a literal fork in a fanciful tongue.

It’s a true vision Bill, and said tongue is speared to the page at times but seems ok with that, hahahahaha.

Yazi Yolcusu
“Yazi Yolcusu, which apparently means “Text Traveler” in Turkish, is living proof that it’s not the tools that make the artist, but their skill. using only metal cutlery – a spoon to hold the ink and forks and knives as writing tools – the talented artist creates some of the most amazing calligraphy you’ll ever see.”

I can’t stop watching the videos. It doesn’t seem possible, though of course it is. I’m wondering if he uses an ink slightly thicker than the usual black indian ink…I must try this and then become deeply unsatisfied at the results.
Hahahahahaha.

I had to revisit this, tell you, I like the dove. Is a dove, right? Maybe a pigeon? No, it can be a dove if I want it to be. The skull’s kinda creepy though, but I like it.

Hello Peter beams it is a dove, I’m sure of it, being so white in parts; I find it really sad that so many people can’t stand pigeons and call them ‘city rats’ (not the rats fault either) and ‘vermin’, and this is entirely due to there being so many of them – were they rare, like doves, humans would be throwing backflips at the beauty of their iridescent feathers. I have a large skull that was part of a theatre production, it’s in an old medical cabinet with a glass door. It isn’t a read skull, but I admire the lines and enjoy the mortality skulls one into recognising. Thanks for the visit dearie, I’m pleased you enjoyed them all.

They have a real feel to them, he’s caught something there, hopefully in more ways than one! I think the spiders would be very useful for helping arachnophobia folks out of their fear. Time was I could not have even the tiniest money spider upon me, these days I don’t mind them, nor other small ones just so long as they aren’t jumpers, the jumpers could end up anywhere! Hahahahaha.

-giggles- Another phobe! Hail. I have to agree re the aversion therapy. Oddly enough, for me help came in the form of online game ‘spiders’. Killing about a million of them definitely desensitized me to an extent. Still can’t handle huntsman spiders though. I think it’s the hairy legs.

Yup. Back when I was a Mrs, I’d scream and get the Mr to kill them. Since I’ve been a Ms, that job has fallen to me. I have found that spraying them with eucalyptus oil and then bashing them with a broom works very well. Still have the heebie jeebies about them, but…I’ve learned to cope. Have absolutely no idea how some people can catch them and put them outside…. -shudder-

I can’t kill any beasties, if it was me or them and they were attacking me I’d probably go feral, but other than that I’m a catcher these days. It was not always the case, I was the great moth murderer of old London town once upon a time I’m sorry to say. They haunt me still!
