Or rather minus a computer, (for a short while hopefully) and for a variety of solid gold reasons Esme cannot post or do much of use from her mobile (tricky business being in the troposphere). Just so you know where she is (or isn’t) (should you wonder (not a question)). And yes this is a post from a mobile, however it’s very short and nothing like as entertaining as it could be with the power of largeness (tech scale). Thank you for your patience. You shall get your reward in Devon. – Esmeralda Cloud

Thank you for this reminder of patience … and a realization that my devices are becoming more like an obsolete burden rather than a gateway to the unknown 💛

Yes, patience is very much a part of my life; once you get into practising it, it becomes quite addictive for the rewards gained ♥️

If you get to see this…COMMISERATIONS! Being without a computer is like losing an arm. And a leg. And the hearing in one ear….

Ha! Thank you, it does show how reliant on devices we are for sure, and whilst I’ve been enjoying the free time, I’ll be glad to have the big screen back; for a writer it’s so useful.

I have a smartphone of sorts but I never use it for things like emails or social media as the data costs are so high. If I was left with nothing but my phone, I’d….have a nervous breakdown! lol

I get free data, texts and calls for sod all a month, use it instead of the landline now as it’s cheaper!

lol – half your luck. I know mobile phone usage is much, much cheaper in the US as well. Here in Australia, I’m paying something like $30/mth for about 1 GB of data. I literally don’t use my phone for anything but the odd phone call and emergency notifications – e.g. bushfires. 😦

Blimey, that’s a huge amount, I get you, I barely used my mobile when the prices were high, it was for emergencies and anyone who was rich enough to ring me.

Yeah, we’re still at that point. I know a lot of people, even those who aren’t that rich, have smartphones that they seem to use all the time, but I have no idea how they pay for it. Or maybe they don’t have any other internet connection so they spend the savings on their phones. -shrug-
As a techie I’d love to be able to do clever things with a small, portable device. Not quite ‘Beam me up, Scotty’ but you know what I mean.
Maybe the price will come down here too. One day.

Well my delightfully sassy Lady, I haven’t yet sent anything to your private email addy. I wanted to give you acres of time and space—but not any Einstein’s “Spooky sketchy fun action at a distance” 😉 —and those sorts of mechanics! I realize I make knees wobbly and hearts pitter-patter, BUT… there must be SOME moderation and control betwixt and betwenst us lovebirds, eh!? 🤭
