Thanks for the recommendation! I enjoyed reading the Shoddy Onion’s rationale about having to do art. Unlike visual arts, writing tends to be on the slightly greener yard. There are several kinds of writing to do, several writing-titles to bear. Seldom do I hear people ask, “why do you write?”, compared to “why are you making that?”

You are very welcome Jan 😀 Yes, I think “What do you write?” is more common for writers, but the torturous side is on a par without doubt. If you have to write and can’t get your mojo working you can end up in a thousand knots, comprised of flickering ideas and out of sync phrases. It’s a release when the motherlode enters stage left, a brief slice of the jackpot for anyone who creates, (be it writing or any other form of art) – success on any scale, be it judged to be so by only yourself, or yourself and several others (or more), is like Lady Macbeth finally getting rid of her spot. A high that soars and dips, equating to breathing out at last.
