Taking the wise words of the President and Founder into consideration I have reverted the previous post to draft. My small catchment of fine followers have had enough time to read it, and the point was chewed over and discussed in some interesting and well thought out comments – (for which I thank you – hands around a selection of sticky buns and gets the tea-pot brewing) – I do not need to sound a horn calling for the crazies to come a running upon reflection, nor enter the foray too deeply.
I’ll take it on the side of caution with some fries and mayo thank you.

I did ‘like’ this, yet I do wish to make it clear that I did not mean to suggest you take down the post in question. No, far from it. In fact, if you’d have asked me I’d have said to hunker down, to reinforce those things needing reinforcement and meet the coming horde in a battle to the finish! (While I watched the entertainment from a safe distance)

Safe distance huh? Got my back covered from the purple couch whilst napping huh? Pfft. Outrageous. tic
It is wise to keep ones head under the parapet at times I think, especially if those times include the crazies of the web.

Expressing opinions always has risk associated with it so it’s easy to understand why you would revert the post to draft. I’ve been in the situation where people started to dog-pile on top of me because they didn’t like what I was writing. I decided to back off and stopped talking publicly about the matter which I regret to this day. Had I continued, the need for a safe room in the mansion would have been real so weigh the costs carefully.
I think it has to be a revolt where we reach a breaking point and feel the cost of stating our opinion is worth the risk. That’s sad because it means regardless of what kind of an opinion we have, someone from an opposing camp will attempt to silence us through mobbing, doxxing or worse. Human nature it would seem never truly changes. Sometimes I think we simply have to cover dirt on top of what stinks and move on.

Yes indeed I get you entirely – . I can fight my own corner and how – I was once told I become much more eloquent when pissed off (which quite pissed me off, leading to all manner of fantastical word gymnastics), and it’s true, I am not known for backing down one bit….however this particular venue is not here for that kind of activity. Also, pure crazies in the arena are far different to bigots and general fools, who I’ll take on in buckets. Here or anywhere else – all the more-so if it is a subject I am passionate about. I like that line “Sometimes I think we simply have to cover dirt on top of what stinks and move on.” – you aren’t wrong there smiles – sonmicloud
