"Death is a release from the impressions of the senses - and from desires that make us their puppets - and from the vagaries of the mind - and from the hard service of the flesh." - Marcus Aurelius, Conversation - my creation Nothing that you do You do unless I said, Pull my strings, Watch me move
A most impressive display of puppetry in Liverpool town centre in the UK. I have seen this performance and it really was quite something.
I would have titled this post “A Pleasing Parade of Puppetry”. Other than that is was Perfect!

Despite pointing out my shortfalls, I shall refrain from tapping your comment above with a pointer to show one of your own. I jest though and am actually most pleased you have used the word ‘perfect’ in connection to any of my posts. Thank you kind President and Founder smiles

Probably a good call not to attempt to point out my alleged shortfalls as Veterans Day is approaching, and you wouldn’t want to be seen as being mean to veterans, would you? Well, would you?

I am rather mean, but not to very old people, so you are safe.

Ooooh I have only just noticed the double ‘n’s! There’s something there, I’d have to see it more than once, and it’s possible a ‘z’ or ‘zee’ might be called for too.

That was my first try at it. I was a little disappointed that it seemed to make no impression. I’ll try it again, ready?
PS Have to work up slowly to the ‘z’ idea. Thanks

Times are hard, but I don’t like to hear of your disappointment. All the more-so because the word you used ‘disappointed’ seems to get away with two ‘p’s in a slightly underhand manner.
Having said that an impression was made upon re-entry (as the astronaut said to the Bishop), but I’m still preferring the original President and Founder. This may well be due to familiarity, but I think there’s more to it than that.
I await the ‘z’ with interest and you may well have sowed a seed for myself here too.

And such a sight in the flesh! I mean wood! Ha! There are others too, dogs and horses, it feels as though you are in Gullivers Travels, such imagination smiles

Awe inspiring, I wonder if this is how I felt upon witnessing my first puppet show? I imagine it was similar. Thanks sonmi!

I knew you’d like it masodo. And that’s an interesting idea, sounds perfectly feasible that one would do just that as a child and then recapture that utter delight once again as an adult with something as wonderful as this. smiles
