A rose by any name, And held tight within the petals of this bloom a piece of her heart remains forever, And so I say again that we have much to hope from the flowers, I've been to ancient worlds I've scoured the whole universe, IF I were a bee and you were a rose, It is the time you have wasted for your rose that makes your rose so important, It takes a loyal gardener to tend roses., Nobody knows this little Rose— It might a pilgrim be, Thar she blooms, The Cloudy Garden, truly woofly rose., Walkin' on, walkin’ down babylon way Got to keep going straight, Would you let me in when the gray wind blows?

Thank you JC, and yes, in both cases; the photographs was taken by myself and the rose planted by myself too. It’s a special rose, a lost love lies within each new bloom, and it has never failed to produce stunning roses.

Oh my but she looks like a sweetie! At least 16 years was a long, happy and productive life.
My wife also lost her faithful companion of 14 years not too long ago, but she only lasted 3 days before she had to get another dog. Not one so much to replace him, but one to help ease the pain. And Zoe has fulfilled her job admirably! You can read about her here:

I’m assuming you also found another companion. It would be fun to see a picture sometime of the one who helped you find comfort.
hugs and puppy kisses from Zoe to you

She was, and had a long happy life which is something to celebrate. I had to wait and didn’t know when I’d be ready for another, then suddenly, six months on, I knew I was and after visiting many animals shelters I knew the second I saw her and vice versa. beams

She holds a serious position within the Cloud governing body too mind;

I can’t wait to read them. Thank you so much for sharing the links.
(Maybe I’ll read them to Zoe and her mom later so we can all three wag our way through a joyful evening!)

I do like how you speak Scots with me E 💕

Hahaha, it’s just my accent, which must be quite eclectic as people are always asking if I’m Irish, American, Scottish or from down south. I was brought up using lots of Scots words and people to this day sometimes ask what some words mean, like ‘trews’. I’m glad it make you feel at home Val, because there’s always a piece of Cloud for you to rest upon here. – beams

Esme, your kind link to “Introducing Rosie” in June 2016 left me in awe. Rosie is a wonder woman, and there’s no mistake there nor here. Here now is the tale of the late and great Madeline and her dear dog Rosie (Yes, her actual name!). The two lived just two houses up. Madeline’s most urgent request to her only surviving relative: assure a future loving home for Rosie (also a rescue by the way). When Madeline died at age 85 her sole heir decided that the local animal shelter would be loving enough. Lisa’s sister Julie interceded and adopted Rosie, who lived and loved an additional 8 years 🙂 ❤

Well now there’s a coincidence name-wise and how lovely that the other Rosie went from one loving home to another. So often the older dogs are overlooked, and it’s very sad as they can be wonderful companions. Thank you regarding Rosie, and Lardy (not my choice of name) before her was a brillinat girl too. I had meant to disallow comments on this one because it makes me sad thinking of Lardy but her Roses are so stunning, however it’s not been too bad and it’s nice everyone loves Rosie-roo and has an idea of the amazing love that can ome from adopting a dog.

Such a lovely rose, and a touching tribute to your sweet little companion. Aren’t our dogs love personified … Sending you buckets of love – I would send manure, but it looks like your roses do well enough without ❤ ❤ ❤
