Vouloir on its own = want. That form: “merci de bien vouloir” translates approximately to “would you be kind enough to …” All you’re missing is the request that should follow. Good wishes are “bons voeux” 🙂

Saw your previous post informing all and sundry you were closed and did not think to check back.
Sigh You know how it is? So damn busy with all the thank you letters I had to write to so many dead relatives.
I had to do it as a kid when they were alive so I can’t see why I should bloody well stop just because they don’t send pressies any more and are a little inconvenienced in the upright and breathing department.
Card arrived bang on time. Grassy arse as the Spanish say. Loved the little birdies too!
Hope your Chrimbo was a hoot an’ a half and someone filled your stocking. 😉

Greetings Ark, I’m so pleased your card arrived before the 25th, Mak’s arrived a few weeks earlier which was a pleasant surprise compared to last year’s February appearance laughs. I hope you enjoyed the festivities and all the dead people – nods and motions to the nurse to give him his medication.
Sadly Esme was too ill to really enjoy the season, the flu battering her cloudiness good and proper, (she ain’t had her stocking filled with out but her own leg in many a year mind you) but things are on the up again, and soon I hope to be firmly back in that cloudy saddle. Missus.

In this day and odd-age, not a bad idea. Clouds are ideal for transport, observation and concealment. Here below the clouds it’s rainy, misty, hail Caesar-ish. In other words, generally fine, sometimes glorious, but vulnerable to calamity.
