“Oh Eeyore you are wet!” said Piglet feeling him. Eeyore shook himself and asked somebody to explain to Piglet what happened when you had been inside a river for quite a long time.” ― A.A. Mil, “Water continually dropping will wear hard rocks hollow.” - Plutarch, Gutta cavat lapidem- Ovid, splish splash, The wind it just whips her away And fills up her brigantine sails, wet diamonds, Will you leave it all behind Water Rushing through your mind, Your sky all hung with jewels
Water does not resist. Water flows. When you plunge your hand into it, all you feel is a caress. Water is not a solid wall, it will not stop you. But water always goes where it wants to go, and nothing in the end can stand against it. Water is patient. Dripping water wears away a stone. Remember that, my child. Remember you are half water. If you can’t go through an obstacle, go around it. Water does.

It very much is Ben. I find waterfalls quite hypnotic.

I find the scientific merit of this quote lacking. 😀

Is Pooh Sticks is still my favorite team sport? Yes, it is. A sublimely elegant and enthralling experience every time. My jersey? An Eeyore, Eeyore, Eeyore — my Pooh cataracta character. What water can do for you too!
Now here be a moving picture to dramatify this World Cuppe level engagement:

Esme is very good at Pooh Sticks, and would happily play the game with you anytime you both happen to be near the right kind of bridge — water running freely below, not cars. You could try it on a motorway and see who gets to Blackpool first by attacking a small gps thingymajig to each stick, but that would take far too long and the fumes might kill people playing as well. Thank you for the wordage and links Bill!

The timing is very synchronous here, Esme, as just last week I read the Handmaid’s Tale. So I’ve recently probably skipped right past you on the Margaret Atwood wavelength… 🙂

Oh I am glad! She’s a superb writer, and on that subject – I finished Seth’s offering and loved it. You were on the bullseye thinking it’d be my cup of tea, so I thank you heartily. I await his first novel – The Municipalists – with pleasure. ❤
