This year Esme has sadly been unable to send out her own handmade cards, there’s not enough energy within and she is always slower in Winter (really should be in hibernation but likes fairy lights too much), however this year I am slower still, and so apologies to all who have received a piece of the Cloud for the past 2-3 years and were hoping for more. Hopefully, things will pick up and next year I’ll be back to normal. As normal as I get.
Sending peace and love to one and all of you, this will have to be my last post until after Christmas too as Esme isn’t able to construct nor answer the lovely comments left in a timely manner and that won’t do at all.
Here is one of my hand carved designs for you all, have fun and be naughty every now and again. X ❤
The best to you, Esme, now and forever.

So sorry you’re not up to snuff, Esme. Wishing you good spirits and steamy bowls of nourishing broth up on your cloud.

Up to snuff! I’ve not heard that one before pockets it for supper. Thank you Tish, very kind of you, I’m ok, just real tuckered out.

Well, I am obviously saddened by this news and from the very bottom of my heart and the profound depths of my holiday St. Nick loins Lady Esme, 🎅 😍 I do hope you recover fully and return soon to brighten and inspire our lives! You do so with every word. This world needs a lot more Esmes floating about up there in the Clouds — kicking off those naughty boys in top hats who with their thick skulls don’t seem to understand they are not quite as suave and charming as their large pea-brains imagine, huh!? 😉
Glad I’m not one of those gentlemen; Esme luvs the Professor in a very unique special way!!! ❤ 😛

‘the profound depths of my holiday St. Nick loins‘ – Good Lord. Thank you. I think.
Hahahahahaha.
‘This world needs a lot more Esmes floating about up there in the Clouds‘ – If even another one appears I shall fight them to the death at dawn with one hand tied behind my back and a spatula in the other!
But I do appreciate the variety of sentiments you send dear Prof, in a ‘that’s what restraining orders were created for‘ kind of way. Hahahahaha.

My lovely Lady, for some odd reason your mentioning of hands tied behind the back and a spatula — that makes a DELICIOUS smacking noise — as delightful as an indigenous tribe prepping their captured, voluptuous European damsel (British of course!) for acts of carnal debauchery and sorcery for the fertility gods…
…has sparked my vivid imagination just a tincy wincey bit. 😁 Go figure.

Oh lovely, thank you John, I’ll soak the former up and turn the latter into a giant smoothie, the bowl, will of course, make a nice hat.

Heathen. The fruit is for the hat (see Carmen Miranda), the bowl is for drumming.

Loki the Kat, editor-in-chuff at this here typing station, was so powerful pleased by the red-hatted skull o’ Crystalmas that she shared her opine above, a most pleased opine it were, as it were — a two-pawed right-left it were too, as witness all and each.
The “A s]” clearly suggests “A skull”, the three blank lines a trinity of 0ppenheimer perhaps, the “0” a call to divide those three blanks by zero. It’s right there in black and white.
It is also my custom to giggle-search every corner o’ the intronet that the chuffed kat types, of course. Here ’tis:

Loki the cat eh? I know a Loki the dog too, spaniel belonging to a relative of mine, entirely the wrong name for him, he’s far more of a ‘Fluffy’ or ‘Patrick’, animals named Loki should be sneaksters, but then you already know this.
‘Editor-in-chuff’ – one of the funniest things I’ve read this year. I don’t know if you are aware of the meaning of chuff round these parts sir? Here’s a local saying . . .
‘ He’s as tight as a gnat’s chuff’. The meaning being that the chap in question is mean with his cash. The gnat’s anatomy mentioned being southern facing and where the wind blows so to speak.
esme stops to laugh for a white more at ‘editor-in-chuff‘ – best place for them! Hahahahahaha.

Speaking of Loki, here is something I wrote about that fine kitty a little while back: https://billziegler1947.com/2017/12/20/the-loki-keyboard/
Words are delightful anarchists, are they not? I giggle-searched and I giggle-found:
https://wikidiff.com/chuffed/chuff — vive la différence. Chuffed I am at crafting ‘editor-in-chuff’, and no mistake — only four (4) finds on Google, and not a one funnier than mine, in my opine. Pleased as all-get-out that it made the shortlist for ‘funniest things I’ve read this year’. Kindest thanks ❤

She’s a beauty Bill! ‘Chuffed’ is a favourite of mine and means just as said though people on WP sometimes think it means angry, rather than overly pleased. A ‘chuff’ is a bumhole, I have no idea why that definition doesn’t say so along with its other options, but there you go. Great word in all its guises. x

My advice would be to keep your tentacles well wrapped-up these next two months, Esme; it’s going to be very cold — have you got a nice warm muff?

I’ll be wrapped from head to tip of tail in one Hariod.

Thank you for the smile, and reaching out Esme. May the fairy lights, the good and the scary bits of Christmas, fan the flames of inspiration, and bring comfort and joy.
Peace and Love to you 💝

Oh, dear Esme. So sorry to hear you’re not ‘up to snuff’ but would it be possible to post your addy for some of us heathens?
Here’s hoping for a wonderful new year!

You don’t give up do you Carmen? Hahahahahaha. No, I appreciate the effort, I really do, and thank you for the kind wishes, and I know you scold me fiercely for not doing so, but if I give out the Cloud’s address people will start feeling they have to send in return and that holds back the point of the free giving, the kindness, see? X Send Hariod one instead, no-one likes him at all.

Now there’s a man who knows how to keep his hands warm! He invited me up to his place in Scotland once — though to be frank the state he was in he’d probably invited half of Soho during the course of that day. Lovely bloke, really warm-hearted. And warm-handed too, of course. I didn’t know you were Italian, Esme? Or is your muffuletta a very small muff?

Joyous statistic of the day is that while drinking may be bad for your health, there’s only a one in 25,000 chance of that affecting you. Or something. Well I read it in a magazine and if I haven’t understood properly that’s hardly my fault is it? Merry Christmas, Hanukkah, Saturnalia, Solstice, belated Diwali, whatever takes your fancy. Then celebrate Russian Orthodox Christmas, and start all over again on 7 January.

Thank you dear Clare, a fine reason in the season to raise a glass or two if ever I heard one. May your fairy lights twinkle furiously in the next few weeks. ❤

You are an angel, and I was just dusting the bookshelf the other day that contains your lovely card from last year. It sits in a prominent place where all can see it 😉 I should procure a small frame before the paper degrades to dust in this subtropical climate! Love to you, sweetie. Enjoy your life and the holidays and – as my Filipina friend Rebecca says – ‘make relax.’ Aloha ❤

I am an angel, just a relatively filthy one, so dust sounds the right setting for it, hahahaha. Thank you Bela, sending love and joy to you, I shall be floating up there in the sky (sounds a bit morbid, but only on the Cloud), waving your way.
