The QuoteInvestigator is one fine resource for people such as mine kind, the compulsive sort who delights in delving rabbit lairs for moon shards, the silly sort who CHEcKs His glasses OVer phor light-reflecting shadows. 🙂

Yes indeed, one must check, check Chekov and even those whose names do not sound like ‘check’. Quotes are adopted by others all the time which may well be annoying for the originator or their fans, but the main thing is that their pearls were shared and point gotten good.

I fear I may have been ‘misunderstood’ in reference to your ‘Dorothy Parker sucking dicks’ quotation. I apologise to all readers without reservation.

Thank you Bela, yes indeed, you know how this works for sure. It’s some of the best advice an author can get, the dark edges in writing are so much more often the most beautiful. ❤
