'with his protrusive ears spread on the pillow - and my mother's arm across his chest - he looked like a butterfly trapped by a cat.', All the world's a stage And all the men and women merely... layers, Arty minus farty, cheers ears, draw me like one of your French dressing tables, illustrations, sketch
My development of Edward and Joseema in progress, from one life times two. I had the idea of an overlay – he on she/she on he and liked the mock up instantly. Sketches only at present, his hair is a tad tall, her veil needs work, it’s their 1920s wedding photo so there should be a full length attired version appearing at some point.
Just a wee peek. He’s got some ears on him eh?! Hahahaha. Can carry them off though (good job really as they’d fall to the floor as he walked away otherwise).
(Only just noticed that this was set for no comments allowed. I have no idea why but I did thing everyone had gone a bit quiet! Hahahahaha. I’ve ammended it.)
I much appreciate how your overlays work to round out features, faux features, and shadow features. Edward and Joseema present as rotating “ambiguoids” — a word I coined last August to express just such a dynamic. Am I proud of this coinage?
In a word: yes
In two words: yes, indeed.
What gives with our ambiguoidal pair?
Ears and hair curls whirl together.
Joseema’s right eye is bisected by Edward’s hairline — a pairline?
What about Edward’s nostrils and seeming mustache (must ache?)?

Thank you Bill, I appreciate your appreciation being offered as well. ‘Rotating Ambiguoids‘ – be proud and watch me steal said coinage in a flash! Hahahahaha. Worse though, I’m afraid I firt wrote it as ‘Rotarting Ambiguoids’. My subconcious knows no bounds (or handcuffs of any kind), and is a hell of a divel to keep in hand. Must get an ankle tag for the rude mare.
Ears and hair curls, yes, I’m seeing a kind of attractive Dr Frank’s monster, though no, not monster, more Dr Frank’s Strictly Go Dancing two merged into one sometimes. This isn’t ness the final layout at all. I’m trying the idea on for fit and fancied feedback. Then managed to post with no comments allowed so got sod all but a pretty bouquet (most appreciated mind) of likes. Gadzooks. But I have you Bill!
Yes, I think he does ache across the face and chin and other parts with or sans hair, time and diemnsion travels plays havoc with tashes and more.
‘Joseema’s right eye is bisected by Edward’s hairline — a pairline?‘ – A right one indeed.

Quite a provocative draught actually, a draught might lend this diorama garish, earish wings with which to propel it into another dimension — might even break the fourth wall, floor, ceiling, space-time continua…

I like this so much I want to take it and merge it with some of your previous words Bill, and then;
What gives with our ambiguoidal pair?
Ears and hair curls whirl together
The result? Quite a provocative draught —
A draught which might lend this diorama
Garish, earish wings with which
To propel it into another dimension —
Might even break the fourth
Wall, floor, ceiling,
Space-time continua…
May I add it to my folder in folders (how she folds her) embossed with the lettering ‘Quotes for The Book’? I am adding quotes, pertinant (and thoughroughly impertinant) ones when the Gods and medium sized Dogs tap me on the shoulder and tell me to (demanding ain’t in it folks). I’m peeling fingers off one blade as I write. beams

I am absolutely enthralled at imagining my coinage so elegantly embossed, ’tis an homage to wordage. My ears envision (the eyes rotate into the ears) a Patrick Stewart delivery.
Coinage inclusion in “Quotes for The Book” is gratefully granted. Steal away!

Excellent rubs her hands like Mr Burns. Now is the right time methinks to collect more such wordage, as my next post shall do with vim. Or at least try to.

Vim was a great text editor — actually, it still is. I’ve forgotten all the commands though. A little ad copy: Enjoy Vim with vim — and a Camel cigarette!

My ears were quite big when I was a child.
I used them as wings.

I like big ears, they flap in the family, but then I’m also a fan of disturbingly small ones. So far as noses go there’s really no limit for character or glamour, though so far as reduction goes far too many these days have surgically taken said reduction to Voldemort levels which always seems a terrible shame.

Beautiful, Esme. There is a subtlety to their expressions that only the living possess, and to have created that on paper as you have is remarkable. Oh, the talent of this Cloud!!! It sprinkles upon the lands below an appreciation for the beauty of this life. I particularly enjoyed the overlay–Joseema’s level gaze, the upturn of Edward’s eye, and the shadow of a laptop or toaster oven or something. It all works perfectly…

Ah, I do appreciate this feedback Michael. It’s tricky to see an image after many sketches and many to come too. I like the look in his eyes as well, she seems to be bearing the brunt of shadows but ever were it true and she can pull them off I think. Their gazes don’t appear to be meeting but as their line of sight crosses the globe and pull round the curves thanks to gravity’s swing the do, albeit briefly.
‘and the shadow of a laptop or toaster oven or something.‘ – Hahahahahahaha, close, the pad of eyes which was being used to take a quick snapshot, this photo was a sudden impulse and no beggaring about went on to even lighting out or the like afterwards. Off the cuff one might say.
Many thanks again beams
