Amy Brier is an artist who specialises in intricately carved roliqueries.

The one I find most pleasing to the eye is the ‘Gods and Goddesses’ piece of which she writes – “The created becomes the creator, when with but mortal hands we create the iconic faces of gods & goddesses in the sands.”
Zen gardens are reflective places. I have previously always combed the sand, this idea comes from another angle, and I imagine it must be quite hypnotic and relaxing to move the stone on your hands, feeling it’s curves and alternating textures whilst watching the patterns you have created.
Creativity makes us bloom.
