There is something in this that is not easy. Hints of terrible things maybe. I should not wonder too long on it.

Probably for the best, you are right, there is something within which is is not for everyone.

Please forgive this response if it becomes inappropriate or long winded, but I feel, probably due more to my own insecurities related to an incident that I will share with you shortly, than to the words in your response to my original comment, that I must address any misunderstandings that I imagine there may be.
You might remember 4 or 5 years back, if you were one to peruse the sensational tabloids that can be found lining the aisles of most supermarket checkout stands, a brouhaha I became embroiled in due to a statement I made the mistake of making in a public forum. What I said was not, as some of the more radical adherents to popular music believed, an attack on the art form itself, but merely a play on an old adage that this particular form of music would never go away, ever. Anyway, regardless of the merits of this form of music or its right to exist eternally I said the following:
“Of all the to curses have befallen mankind that rock and roll will never die is most assuredly the worst”
So, depending on your own personal level of commitment to rock and roll you may or may not understand what all the fuss was about. Now, although I do believe to be true what I said, I would never dream of restricting others desire for being cursed by it, and it most definitely was not my intention to cause the furor that erupted and then continued to build for longer than I ever thought possible. The anger of those aficionados of rock and roll who were within earshot of my utterance( and those who heard of my words only through rumor) turned to actions not only mean spirited but also verging on the violent, at least the threat of violence that did not lessen until I, seeing no other way out of the predicament (I admit I had gotten myself in), went into hiding for a period of months until, after a testing of the waters, I determined the coast to be clear, that is to say, all had been forgotten if not forgiven.
You’ll have to excuse me. I have been composing this letter in between times of painting the future exhibition space for the Institute, and, no doubt, because of the fumes I have become disoriented and in turn become lost as to where exactly I was going with this. I did want to mention this though. As I was painting today I would, every so often, catch myself humming the tune you had posted above.

I recall the brouhaha well. I always notice a brouhaha, they run amok around the cloud sometimes and cause all manner of damage when in a foul mood, and have been known to leave smelly ‘deposits’ shall we say, in unsuitable places. The best way to deal with a brouhaha on the rampage is to lull it into a false sense of security with peach pits and jammy dodgers laid out upon a large oval platter. Once thus distracted it can be wrestled to the floor, and a swift shove of its head where the sun does not shine (on the brouhaha’s own body, not your own – important point that, worth noting so as to save untold misery and not a few tears I suspect), and you have a docile creature, all mayhem ceased. But I’m sure you already know all that President and Founder.
I suggest more of the humming, it’s good for the constitution.

It may be my suspicious nature which caused me, after reading your suggestion of humming for the good of my constitution, to madly search the web (internet) for confirmation of this. And what do you know? There it was on a site called “Energize: Don’t just exercise, Energize”, a post titled “Hum into Health” which read partially as follows: “It’s no surprise that recent psychological studies and neuroscience research have shown that humming a happy tune can impact our health and well-being. Take 30-60 seconds right now to hum your favorite tune or simply hum any sound…” Thank you for not misleading me. I will take up singing with my lips closed immediately and without pause during every waking moment.

The Cloud and I only ever give honest sound advice but in a world as fraught with deceit as this one you are prudent to check the origins and facts before entering into anything potentially damaging. One in your position especially must be vigilant. Hum away safely sans any bugs though or the good effects shall be thwarted.

Had to nip to YouTube to listen to this as the Soundcloud isn’t working here tonight. Anyway, I recognised the tune upon hearing it, and love the vibe; so thanks for reminding me.

P.S. Apparently, so sayeth the internet, the William Blake line from whence the band’s name was derived. Then again, they could have just come up with it wandering around B&Q.
