"From beasts we scorn as soulless - In forest field and den - The cry goes up to witness - The soullessness of men". - M. Frida Hartley, "I ask people why they have deer heads on their walls. They always say because it's such a beautiful animal. There you go. I think my mother is attractive - but I have photographs of her." - Ellen DeG, "The time will come when men such as I will look upon the murder of animals as they now look upon the murder of men." - Leonardo Da Vinci, "There is no fundamental difference between man and the higher animals in their mental faculties... The lower animals- like man- manifestly feel pleasure and pain- happiness- and misery." - C.Darwin
The following is a re-blog from Crows Head Soup. It says much about the soullessness humanity arrogantly displays at times. I have added my own tags – as ever.
Farmer Ilmari Takkala and “the last wolf” in Central Finland he killed in Karstula
No one has a right
to take a sentient life
out of existence.
Not even the arrogant,
self-aggrandizing dimwit.
Gifted with reasoning, we have a responsibility to be caretakers for the planet. We’re doing a less than stellar job and could stand to think things through more carefully before we act.

Alike for a like, I like the way you think, though it is serving a broader spectrum in the long run than yourself, and so is quite the opposite – the blowing of ones own brass section is not always a selfish act. smiles
