Diable en Boîte.
A crank rotates……music begins, and builds……..’half a pound of tuppeny rice,…… half a pound of treacle’……slowly…..,……’that’s the way’………slower………..’the money goes’……………slower still…………then;
Jack in a box.
Jack’s in the box.
Jack sins in the box.
Jack spins in his socks.
Jack swings a curious fox,
Jack slings a crate of clocks,
Jack’s strings encase the box,
Jack’s shins are like breeze blocks!
Jack springs a hundred locks,
Jack’s stings are a paradox,
Jack sings in frilly smocks,
Jack spins in his socks.
Jack sins in the box.
Jack’s in the box.
Jack in a box.
*- conjured from this, and that.
Now I feel for Jack.

At first I was like literally “What”? and then there was “Diable en Boîte” and that was (again, like) ‘all she wrote’ because of various reasons I’m never going to fully explain.
Also, as I mentioned before, and…as the Dr. himself said “Through three cheese trees three free fleas flew. While these fleas flew, freezy breeze blew. Freezy breeze made these three trees freeze”

I too also ‘at first’, thought some kind of hex had been cast upon me in the last 24hrs when reading your comment, as this was the second piece of writing I’d consumed within that time – only to find its meaning as clear a myriad of murkiest of mud’s in the darkest of swamps of confusionsville. Then I remembered and recognised the Dr, who I should never have forgotten really, he has been with me for so long on and off over the years.
To clarify though – you do know there are words written after “Diable en Boîte” don’t you?
ps – I think the Professor fancies you, keep it under your hat, but carry a washing up liquid bottle full of cold water just in case.

Could you imagine? I hesitate to. Though, at times, briefly, while waiting for my toast, I make observations that may have originated more from that dark swamp than from the awful light they are always shining through the windows claiming it’s the sun.
Who wouldn’t know of the ‘words written after’? for Pete’s sake they were only written of in detail by everyone’s favorite mad Arab Abdul Alhazred!
I will try and remember this about “the Professor”

The Cloud and I are holding up score cards for this comment (again), mine is a one, the Cloud’s is also a one, yet it is meant to be a score out of ten!
The Cloud is a real wag at times.
Ultimately you’ll be thrilled to know it bodes terribly well and there’s a chance the whole thing may be printed and framed then stuck in a cupboard in the vaults for specifically – ‘forever and eight days’.
You may retain a copy of course.

I can’t be sure of good or bad in this instance as I have been occupied for the last half of an hour with the mechanics of removing a flat tire. However, while under the large vehicle used for the transport of many things, it did cross my mind to make a copy of that for pasting within a book which would then stored in a cupboard!.
Wait! Did you say one out of ten? I think you meant one in a million.
