"For my part I know nothing with any certainty- but the sight of the stars makes me dream." - Vincent Van Gogh, "Here in my room-lit by the electric moon-will you let the morning come soon?", "The air moves like a river and carries the clouds with it; just as running water carries all the things that float upon it" - Leonardo DaVinci, “Oh Eeyore you are wet!” said Piglet feeling him. Eeyore shook himself and asked somebody to explain to Piglet what happened when you had been inside a river for quite a long time.” ― A.A. Mil
This piece was used as background music in a recent episode of Brian Cox’s ‘Human Universe’ – and as soon as I heard it I felt the need to track down the source of this river. I am glad I did. It haunts one as it flies across the heavens, and deserves a place to rest here on the Cloud.
I came by earlier, perhaps you seen me duck out of the cloud (I had a sense you did), but being at the office I wasn’t able to listen—well I could have played it, but I would of had to mute it and so in good conscience I couldn’t click like not knowing if I like it or not. Nor do I believe would you appreciate such sycophantic behavior. But now that I’ve listened I can, without guilt, click like.

I sensed your vibrations on the edge of the cloud yes, but I’m glad you came back to it too, and all the more-so liked the song. A guilty like. That has me laughing, I’m thinking that is a like without taking in the full post. But no guilt need be found here anyway, even if you could never hear the music, the written word alone might appeal. There’s so much we know nothing of when it comes to a ‘like’. The whys and wherefores. I enjoy your comments Peter, thank you for the time taken. smiles

For some undeterminable reason, the song put me to mind of something from Pink Martini. Do you know Pink Martini? Here’s a favorite of mine, you might enjoy. http://youtu.be/WVbrycPKXZQ An old Doris Day song done sort of eerily, for lack of better word.

I shall return to your link when the sun rises me as I am just slipping into sleep here, I look forward to it though, it surely sounds like my kind of strange smiles and waves sleepily

That is superbly creepy, and I can immediately see the connection, the sing song voice, echoing. I’ve never heard of Pink Martini, so had a browse, and they have recorded some beautiful pieces. I love film scores, and much of their work would be perfect in that arena. ‘Hang on Little Tomato’ is an instant hit with me. Thank you Peter, you have given me some new music, a much needed gift at present smiles broadly

Creepy is the better word. And so much so as it was when I discovered it during the first episode of the first series of ‘Dead Like Me.’ Around the 70:00 mark. http://www.watch-tvseries.me/series514/Dead-Like-Me/season-01-episode-01-Pilot
Glad you enjoyed it, my dear. Laughs sinisterly at the full moon, hid previously behind a bank of dark grey clouds (you know these clouds, yes?) as a chilling wind raises her hackles, a growing howl is heard in the not so distant thicket. He disappears, raising up into the night, only his echo remain.

It’s a very interesting premise for a story-line I’d say, quirky, amusing and slightly dark. I like it. laughs. And as for creepy, you do a fair line in it yourself if those lines are aught to go by sir. A splendid reply if I ever had one!

I like that a lot Sonmi; and a bit of vinyl crackle is always welcome in this corner of The Waterland, but only if set to fine music such as this. As we’re talking vinyl crackle, and creepiness too (thanks to Peter), I found myself dragging this ditty up from the cranial dustbin. It may not be your mug of Tia Maria, if so, apologies for the imposition:

That is highly up my street H, I like it very much indeed and have added it to a playlist instantly. Something off slant a little and one to drift away to without being sugary or sappy. Well done that woman shakes her hand smiling.
